Saturday October 1st we had a birthday luncheon for my mom at Sanderling’s in Aptos, Calif. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the ocean. It was a crisp and sunny day. There were paragliders gliding onto the beach and a small wedding outside, that we watched overlooking the balcony of the restaurant. We couldn’t have planned for a more beautiful day.
On Sunday, the 2nd, mom’s birthday, we - mom, my brother Dev, Phillip, Jerry, Jamie and Kirk, mom’s sister Flora and I, went to Half Moon Bay. Every year mom goes to Bob’s Pumpkin Patch. You might say it’s a tradition. Only this year we added lunch at Pasta Moon. All but three of us had the Scallop Salad. The scallops were so good. They melted in your mouth and were just a little crisp around the edges. We sang Happy Birthday over a strawberry shortcake drizzled with white chocolate. It was a great way to end a memorable and beautiful weekend.
