A Bit of a Yarn, but All Too True

Yesterday started out sunny and fairly warm, so we decided to ride our bicycles to return a video, pick up some spinach at Whole Foods, and continue on to Jo-Ann Fabrics for some yarn (the knitting kind). We only got two blocks and it started sprinkling; three more blocks and it started raining; a half a mile and the rain became a down poor. By the time we dropped off the video and headed towards Whole Foods it began to hail. Hail actually makes an interesting sound as it bounces off your riding helmet - a rythmic tapping sound. Hail also makes for an interesting surface to ride on – just ask Jacquie, who landed in the bushes as she tried to navigate onto the mall sidewalk. Fortunately she wasn’t hurt. After the hail stopped we continued on to Whole Foods. After our purchase we mounted our bikes for our return home and wouldn't you know it - the sun came out. As for the yarn, we didn’t make it to Jo-Ann Fabrics, instead using our better judgment we returned to the comfort of our abode. Sometimes I think God has an unusual sense of humor.
